The Raceway at the Western Fair District held another 10-dash harness racing card on Monday (Mar. 11) night. Docsphillycheese (Betterthancheddar) captured the featured Preferred Pace.
Cheddar Bay (Bradley Harris) was caught out two-wide and was forced to storm to the front. It Takes Two (Lorne House) settled for the pocket and Hollys Treasure (Daniel Clements) followed closely behind. Docsphillycheese found space in fourth as the field of six hit the quarter-mile station in 27.3. Cheddar Bay was still leading at the half but Hollys Treasure made the first move and Docsphillychesse followed right out two wide. Docsphillycheese sat comfortably behind Hollys Treasure until he was time to go three wide down the stretch. Docsphillycheese paced the last quarter in 29.1 and won the race in 1:56.2.
Hollys Treasure held on for second and It Takes Two finished third. Cheddar Bay finished sixth after leading for most of the race.
