CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Leading trainer Jennifer Doyle delivered three more harness racing winners during the Thursday evening program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Earnscliffe horsewoman started off her winning action in race 2 as veteran trotter Glider Man (Driven by Damian MacLellan) rallied for a 1:59.3 victory. New Legacy (Jason Hughes) was another Doyle trained winner in the $3,450 Open Trot with a head decision in 1:59.2 in race 10. The final of the Doyle winners was Woodmere Heather M (David Dowling) in race 10 stopping the clock in 1:56.3. All three horses are owned by Red Shores leading owner Danny Birt.
Woodmere Rollily charged home to win the Grand Slam of Curling $2,900 featured pace in a 1:55.4 clocking for trainer-driver Adam Merner and owners Marsha Knox and Cory Livingtston at 6-1 odds. Redland Misspretty (Paul Langille) was second ahead of pacesetter Topville Angelina (Gilles Barrieau).
Melanies Magic won the Race 4 Clan Sinclair Association of Canada pace for trainer-driver Corey MacPherson in 1:57.3. Sandra Stead of Montague holds the ownership papers of the 10-year-old son of Hypnotic Blue Chip. MacPherson tripled on the evening also winning catch drives aboard Maggiesdelight (1:56.3) in race 8 for conditioner Michelle Myers and race 5 with the Brad Smith trained Howmac Agustus (1:57.3).
Red Shores is getting ready to host the Atlantic Breeders Crown on Thanksgiving weekend. Finalists have been booking tables in the Top of the Park for the Atlantic Breeders Crown banquet on Saturday October 12th presented by PEI Standardbred Horse Owners Association. Deadline to reserve seats is Friday October 4th at 5pm by calling the Top of the Park.
