Eastcoast Invader (Rollwithitharry) won his second straight Inverness Raceway Winners-Over on Wednesday (Jul. 3) for his 20th career harness racing victory.
Away third in the field of six, Monica Sutherland pulled the gelding second-over behind Windemere Best Man (John MacDonald) nearing the half and kicked off cover coming down the backstretch. Eastcoast Invader climbed past Windemere Best Man on the final turn and strode home to capture the feature in 1:58.4. Windemere Best Man was second by a length, followed by the closing Delightful Wine (Zach Mullins).
EASTCOAST INVADER REPLAY
Eastcoast Invader is now two-for-six on the season and has earned cheques in each of his starts. Sutherlands trains and co-owns the seven-year-old with Todd Sutherland, who bred the horse. The gelding has earned $33,750 in 103 career appearances.
Driver Rodney Gillis won three of the nightās eight races.
