The Ontario-sired Spring Series resumed on Thursday (Apr. 13) at Woodbine Mohawk Park with one trotting harness racing trotting division and a pair of contests for pacers.
Hp Extra Ice (Alarm Detector) began proceedings by taking her second career win in four starts in the only trotting contest.
James MacDonald steered the filly to the 1:57.1 victory over Muscling Vegas (Paul MacDonell) and Southwind Chardnay (Scott Young). Hp Extra Ice has earned $19,660 in her four outings.
Benoit Baillargeon trains the filly and co-owns her with Claude Hamel, Santo Vena, and Nunzio Vena.

Elises Delight (Bettors Delight) posted a front-stepping victory in the first pacing group, leading at each pole en route to a two-and-a-half-length win in 1:53 under the guidance of MacDonald. Mist Amber (Bob McClure) rallied for second and made gains late. Dewitt This Moment (Doug McNair) was third. The winner has tallied three victories this year, her entire career total. The homebred filly has earned $34,820 in nine tries for trainer Jeff Gillis, who co-owns her with Ellen Ott.
ELISES DELIGHT REPLAY
Chedda Chedda (Betterthancheddar, Louis-Philippe Roy) circled six opponents in the final quarter, surging to a 1:53 win. She motored past Tesla Power (Sylvain Filion) late for the win. True That (Austin Sorrie) also soared home and got up for third. Chedda Chedda is five-for-18 lifetime and has won four times this year for trainer Chantal Mitchell. The filly has earned $74,232 for Decision Theory Inc. of Pickering.
