Woodbine adds new Fillies and Mares Claiming Pop-Up Series

MILTON, January 23, 2024 – The Woodbine Mohawk Park Race Office has added a new Fillies and Mares Claiming Pop-Up Series to next week’s harness racing condition sheet.

Woodbine Mohawk Park will offer a four-week Pacing Fillies and Mares $8,000 Claiming Pop-Up Series beginning on Thursday, February 1.

The series will run in every Thursday in February with purses increasing each week through the final on February 22. A consolation will be offered if enough horses are entered.

The dates and purses are listed below:

Leg 1: Thursday, February 1 (Purse: $8,000)
​Leg 2: Thursday, February 8 (Purse: $9,000)
​Leg 3: Thursday, February 15 (Purse: $10,000)
​Final: Thursday, February 22 (Purse: $18,000)
​Consolation: Thursday, February 22 (Purse: $12,000)

A horse must race in a minimum of two legs to be eligible for the final.

The entry box for Thursday, February 1 closes next Monday (January 29) at 10:30 a.m.
