Bucktober (Flanagan Memory) made it five straight harness racing victories on Friday (Feb. 24) with another front-end victory at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
In similar fashion to his previous wins, the gelding battled to the front in the first panel to take over with :28.2 tempo. He completed the half in :59.4 for Tyler Borth and met the first-up attack of Shouldaknownbetter (Anthony Hamlin) at three-quarters in 1:30.1.
Shouldaknownbetter chipped down the advantage from three-quarters to the finish in a fierce stretch duel, but Bucktober was indefatigable and held on by a half-length in 2:00.
Shouldaknownbetter was second. Global News (Garrett Rooney) crossed the line third.
