Mach Silver (Mach Three) won his fifth consecutive harness racing start on Tuesday (Aug. 6) at Georgian Downs in his fastest mile of the year.
He got to the lead in a :29.3 quarter from post three, pocketing Candid Cameron (Samuel Fillion), who broke approaching the half in :58.1. Mach Silver went unchallenged to three-quarters in 1:27.2 and fended off pocket-tripper Louis Litt N (Jason Ryan) to secure the victory in 1:55.1. Sir Lucknow (Ryan Desroche) was four lengths back in third.
MACH SILVER REPLAY
Mach Silver has risen through the claiming ranks with five straight wins. He switched from Hanover Raceway to Georgian Downs in mid-July and came to the Ron MacDonald barn. The gelding has won 22 of 121 lifetime appearances and has earned $143,643. Martin Kuepfer of Elmwood owns the 11-year-old gelding.
Georgian Downs will see action next on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 7:15 p.m. EDT.
