Flamboro Downs has scrapped its Saturday (May 21) program of harness racing due to power outages at the track.
Southern Ontario faced a powerful storm on Saturday morning and afternoon that caused outages in parts of the province. The Prospect Series was slated to kick off with five divisions.
In the announcement, Flamboro Downs said the decision was out of concern for the safety of participants.
The Ontario Sires Stakes tweeted that Ontario Racing is attempting to reschedule the Prospect Series races as drawn in the next week or at a date later this season.
