Moonshiners Credit (Up The Credit) won for the first time a year at Flamboro Downs on Thursday (Sep. 16), ending a 42-start harness racing losing streak.
Driver Scott Coulter gave the mare the best chance possible, swinging her a pocket trip from post five. Leader Ma Rebelle (Brett MacDonald) towed Moonshiners Credit through :27.3, :57.2, and 1:27 panels and entered the stretch on top with the field fanning out behind her.
Moonshiners Credit sprinted out of the two-hole with the freshest legs and paced clear by a length-and-three-quarters for the victory in 1:56.3.
Ma Rebelle held off Eataams Elie (Paul Mackenzie) for second. The win price was $15.70.
