MILTON, ON – May 31, 2024 – The Pepsi North America Cup, Woodbine Mohawk Park’s biggest party of the year, is set for its 41st edition on Saturday, June 15 with free admission and parking for all harness racing spectators.
The $1 million Pepsi North America Cup is Canada’s most prestigious harness race, featuring the continent’s finest three-year-old pacers. The race has a rich history and delivers in excitement each year.
The event is more than just a horse race, with a concert, beer garden, food specials, kids’ zone and giveaways all part of the festivities.
Doors open at 4 p.m. and live racing will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the feature Pepsi North America Cup race scheduled for approximately 10:45 p.m.
The onsite festivities will start with CCMA award-winning artist, Robyn Ottolini performing on the east trackside apron at 5:30 pm. With multiple top 40 singles under her belt, this free concert will entertain fans right up to the event.
Fans will want to arrive early for the concert and to secure a free commemorative Pepsi North America Cup golf hat. The hats will be given away at the beer garden adjacent to the concert area.
The beer garden set up will have a variety of selections and a one-night beer special.
As for food offerings, Woodbine will have a variety of its usual concessions and BBQs, plus food trucks will be coming in to serve a variety of items.
Woodbine Mohawk Park will also have special LED cups available for all drink purchases (additional $1 cost for the cup). The LED cups will sync with Woodbine Mohawk Park’s light show that will take place prior to the Pepsi North America Cup race.
The on-track vibes will stay high all night with a DJ performing in between all races throughout the evening.
A kid’s zone will also be set up to entertain the next generation of racing fans.
The racing action will include a total of 13 races, including six stake races and over $2 million in purses. Racing fans will have the opportunity to meet the drivers competing that evening during a pre-race autograph session by the winner’s circle at 5:50 p.m.
Horseplayers will have a wide variety of wagering options throughout the entire card, including an all-stakes Pick-5.
Woodbine Mohawk Park will be offering free admission and free parking to the Pepsi North America Cup.
