SUMMERSIDE, PE – There was no stopping Melody Maker on his quest for six-straight harness racing wins at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway on Sunday afternoon (Jul. 30).
Driven by Dale Spence, the Greg MacInnis trained and driven pacer stopped the clock in 1:54.4 for his sixth straight win in the $3,500 featured pace. Second went to Frontier Cruise (Driven by Brady Sweet) with Sauble Attack (Ken Murphy) third.
Spence had a quartet of winners as he also hit the wire first with Glenview Quintanna (1:57.1) from the Adam Johnson barn, Get Home Terry (1:59) for Edgar Stewart and Woodmere Denny (1:57.1) for trainer MacKenzie Spence.
Driver Ken Murphy had a triple on the day and now sits two wins shy of the 1,000 race plateau. Murphy won with Nannie Bernice (1:56.1) for Janice Hubbard, Rymar Jimbo (1:56.1) for Eric Doucette and Oh No (1:58.1) from the Joe Baxter barn.
Baxter had a double on the day as a trainer as JJ Amelia (1:58.3) was the best in race 3 for driver Walter Cheverie.
