Harness racing horseman Guy Gagnon captured the Preferred-Handicap Trot to cap off a Thursday night (Oct. 24) in which he reached $30 million in career driving earnings at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
In the featured trot, he sent out his trainee All Wrapped Up (Archangel) to go for a third consecutive top-class victory. The eight-year-old gelding started sixth and last and moved out first-over at the half, slogging forward down the backstretch. He picked up speed coming around the final turn and marched from fourth to the front for a 1:55.3 victory. Black Tie Bash (Robert Shepherd) closed off the winnerās cover and was second by a length-and-three-quarters. Warrawee Xalt (Ryan Guy) finished third.

All Wrapped Up is four-for-five since entering the Gagnon barn for new owners Sylvain Cote and Michel Lagace. The eight-year-old has earned $632,158 and won 36 times in 187 career starts.
Gagnon passed $30 million in earnings in his second race of the day while finishing second behind GA Speed Matrix (Windfall Blue Chip). The horseman, one of Rideau Carletonās perpetual leaders, has now racked up 6,166 lifetime wins in more than 32,000 starts. As a trainer, he has won 1,901 races and has amassed earnings of $10.3 million.
Gagnon drove three winners on the night, piloting two Mandy Archer pupils to victory. He is leading this seasonās standings by more than 60 wins.
The next card at Rideau Carleton Raceway is set for Sunday, Oct. 27. The first of 10 races will begin at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
