Goldies Rockin sweeps Pop-up Series

Goldies Rockin (Rockin Image) won her third straight harness racing contest to sweep the Pop-up Series for conditioned fillies and mares at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday (Dec. 7).

The mare moved to the front approaching the half and fended off challengers throughout the back half to score in a seasonal best 1:53 for James MacDonald. E L Citadel (Ryan Desroche) took place with Share The Moment (Tyler Borth) closing for third.

GOLDIES ROCKIN REPLAY

Goldies Rockin, a four-year-old, won both preliminary legs and is seven-for-31 this season. The Richard Moreau pupil has won 13 of her 65 career appearances and has banked $98,232. Sylvain Cote of Saint Paul and Robert Bernicky of L’Ange-Gardien town the mare.

Stakes action returns to Woodbine Mohawk Park on its next card on Friday, Dec. 8. Two divisions of the Niagara Series for three-year-old pacing fillies will feature on the 11-race card beginning at 7:10 p.m. EST.
