The harness racing card for Monday (Jun. 6) at Grand River Raceway has been called off due to unsafe track conditions.
The decision, which the race office has confirmed, was displayed on the live broadcast around the time the first race was due to start. A 10-race program was scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
Rainfall has hit much of Ontario throughout the day. The Grand River Raceway surface was listed as sloppy before the cancellation.
The Elora, Ont. trackās next card is set for Wednesday, Jun. 8.
