R Liza (Muscle Mass), tied for second in the two-year-old filly pace Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots division, lowered her lifetime mark with her third career harness racing win on Tuesday (Aug. 22) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
The filly led into the first turn but ceded command to Rhythm Of Life (James MacDonald) at the quarter in :29.1. Jody Jamieson kept R Liza pocketed through :59.4 and 1:29.3 middle panels, and the filly chased down Rhythm Of Life in the stretch for a half-length victory in 1:57.1. Sue Anne (Louis-Philippe Roy) also closed but could only manage third as Rhythm Of Life held second.

R Liza has won both of her starts in the Grassroots, taking legs one and three, and placed in the second leg of the Gold series. The Susanne Kerwood trainee is three-for-four with $56,417 earned. M and L of Delaware co-owns the rookie with Alabama Harness Associate of Vestavia Hills. The win was also Kerwoodās 400th lifetime.
