Harness News Update: Picks & Analysis for Century Downs July 26th

A nine-dash card full of harness racing action is set for Friday (July 26) at Century Downs. The notable wagers are the Pick 5, which kicks off the card in race one and the $1 minimum Pick 4 which starts in the sixth.

Daisy Corvette (Mystician) will be looking to win her fourth in a row and her third straight in the Fillies & Mares Preferred. She posted a new seasonal best mile time of 1:53.4 in her latest victory. Her lifetime mark is 1:51.4 which she achieved at Century Mile last year. Daisy Corvette has 17 career wins and has now earned over $155,000 in prize money. The five-year-old mare is trained by Shanisty Andres and David Kelly will be in the bike.

 Dropping out of the Fillies & Mares Preferred is Outlaw Spiced Rum (Blue Burner). She has won six in a row which forced her to face the top-class last week. However, after finishing sixth, she moves back into a conditional claiming class that better suits her. After being picked up out of the $5,000 claimers by Trevor Williams and Aurel Vodon, Outlaw Spiced Rum has become one of the hottest pacing mares at Century Downs. Travis Ellis trains the six-year-old mare and Mike Hennessy will team up in the sulky.
