Harness News Update: Picks & Analysis for Century Downs May 24th

A big weekend of harness racing at Century Downs kicks off Friday (May 10) with an 11-dash program. As usual, the Pick 5 wager starts in the first race and runs to the fifth. The $1 minimum Pick 4 begins in the sixth and ends in the nine. There is also a $3334 carryover in the Pick 4 pool.

Outlawabovenbeyond (Captive Audience) had her five-race win streak snapped last week when she finished sixth place. The four-year-old mare was leading for most of the race but couldn’t hold onto the lead down the stretch. In her prior start, she not only one the Bev Sears Memorial but also paced a new seasonal best mile of 1:54.2. Rodney Starkewski trains the mare and Michael Hennessy will be in the bike

OUTLAWABOVENBEYOND REPLAY

The reigning Fillies & Mares Preferred champion, Outlaw Sharktastic (Smart Shark) will have another chance to win the top Mare class in the sixth race. The six-year-old mare won in 1:55.2 and it was her 14th career win. She draws post position five and will have her trainer, Nathan Sobey in the sulky.
