Harness racing returns to Fraser Downs this week with a nine-dash card Thursday (Apr. 11) night.
The first Pick 4 starts in the secondĀ and the 6-5 morning line favourite in that race, Kootenay Cocoa (Beren Hanover) is coming off her first career lose. She had won eight races in a row prior and paced a lifetime mark of 1:55.1. The three-year-old filly started 2024 with a win in 1:56.1 but unfortunately fell short in her second start of the year and finished second place. Tyson Jacoby will be in the bike once again this week for trainer Kyle Chadwick.
KOOTENAY COCOA REPLAY
The late Pick 4 starts in the sixthĀ and runs through to the final race. Got Sugar (Chucaro Acero) earned her first career win her last time out. She went wire-to-wire and paced the mile in 1:59.1. However, she was scratched due to illness for her next start and now makes her return. The three-year-old filly opens at 3-1 morning line odds and should be contender in this race. Terry Kaufman trains and is scheduled to be in the bike.
