Harness News Update: Picks & Analysis for Rideau Carleton April 21st

Rideau Carleton Raceway is hosting an 11-dash harness racing card on Sunday (Apr. 21). There is a Pick 5 wager starting in the fifth race and there are four Pick 4’s starting in races two, four, six and eight.

In the first race, Century Jazz (Bettors Delight) is looking to extend his winning streak to three. His previous wins were paced in 1:58.2 and 1:57 respectively. The 1:57 mile stands as his lifetime mark. He is trained by Stephane Poullet and he will also be in the bike come post-time. The four-year-old gelding opened as the 9-5 morning line favourite.

CENTURY JAZZ REPLAY

Meadowbranch Noble (Explosive Matter) is also looking to extend his winning streak to three in the third race and he is trying to achieve it in the Preferred Trot. His last win was in 1:55.4 and it was also in the Preferred. The seven-year-old gelding has 13 career wins in 110 starts. He is trained by Mandy Ancher and Guy Gagnon will be in the sulky.

MEADOWBRANCH NOBLE REPLAY

There is a big match-up in the seventh race and a few of the top pacers line up for their Preferred. The Light Speed (Moon Beam) has won back-to-back times and posted an impressive 1:52.3 last time out. The six-year-old gelding is trained and driven by Guy Gagnon.

THE LIGHT SPEED REPLAY

P L Ozzy (Sunshine Beach) has been runner-up to The Light Speed in both of the previous two Preferred Paces. Pascal Berube will be in the bike this time and maybe things will shake up differently.
