Harness News Update: Picks & Analysis for Rideau Carleton May 16th

Thursday (May 9) afternoon harness racing returns to Rideau Carleton Raceway this week and they kick off with a 10-dash card. The Pick 5 wager starts in the sixth race and runs through to the tenth.

One of last year’s top two-year-old trotters, Wild Dream Men (Kadabra) is making his 2024 debut. He won three of his five starts during his rookie season and never finished worse than second. He won his first three career starts and two of them were in the Coupe De L’Anenir. Wild Dream Men was the betting favourite going into the finals but finished second place after breaking at the start. His last win was on Aug. 18 and he trotted the mile in 2:02.3 which stands as his best time. Guy Gagnon trains and will be in the bike behind Wild Dream Men in the first race.
