Georgian Downs will host a ten-dash harness racing card on Tuesday (June 11) evening. A Pick 5 wager with a $1,500 guaranteed pool starts in the very first race and a $.20 minimum Pick 4 starts in the fourth. The card also features two $8,000 splits in the Prospect Series for three-year-old pacing fillies.
A free program can be found here.
The current Prospect Series point totals can be found here.
The first split comes in the fifth race and has a field of nine fillies. The 6-5 morning line favourite, Wheres My Phone (Big Jim) won her previous start which was also about the series. She paced the winning mile at Flamboro Downs in 1:56.1 which beat her previous best by two seconds. It was also her first win of the year and the fourth of her career. Wheres My Phoneās form this year has been top-notch as she finished second in her 2024 debut. Travis Henry will be in the bike for trainer, Gregg McNair.
WHERES MY PHONE REPLAY
The second split comes in the eighth race and is fairly more competitive on paper. The morning line favourite, Sauble Lila (State Treasurer) is making her first start in the Prospect Series but is coming off a big win in the City of London Finals at Western Fair. She topped the other pacing sophomore fillies in 1:56.3 which is two-fifths of a second shy of her lifetime mark. Sauble Lila swept the entire City of London series and accumulated eight wins already this year. She has never missed a cheque and only finished outside the top three twice. Otis Hall trains the filly and Jason Ryan will be in the sulky.
SAUBLE LILA REPLAY
At 9-5, Kittys Column (Sportswriter) could easily win this race as well. She started 2024 with three straight wins and followed that up with back-to-back second-place finishes. Her fastest win this year was in 1:56.1 which happened at Flamboro Downs. This matches her previous best time which was achieved at Georgian Downs. Ā Travis Henry will team up with the James McConnell-trained filly.
KITTYS COLUMN REPLAY
The third and final standout in the second heat is the Carl Jamieson-trained Ireland Seelster (Sportswriter). Sheās already made 13 starts this year and started slow. Hover, she has won two of her last three starts and finished second place her last time out. Her lifetime mark of 1:56.4 was achieved at Flamboro Downs before she won again but at Western Fair in the Prospect Series.
