Woodbine Mohawk Park has a 11-dash harness racing card set for Saturday (July 19). A pair of $150,000 Mid-season Gold Ontario Sires Stakes Finals headline the card.
A free program can be found here.
The Mid-season final for three-year-old pacing fillies goes in the sixth race and a field of eight draws in. The heavy favourite, Its A Love Thing (Bettor Delight) is coming off a big sub-1:50 win in the Jerry Silverman Memorial at The Meadowlands. Her last appearance at Woodbine Mohawk was a brilliant 1:48.2 victory in the Fan Hanover Finals after finishing second in the eliminations. With four wins in six starts this year, she has been one of the top-pacing sophomore fillies in Ontario and will look to continue her dominance on Saturday. James Macdonald jumps back in the bike with Its A Love Thing.
ITS A LOVE THING REPLAY
The pacing boys have their chance in the eighth race and Nijinsky is coming off his first loss of the year. He finished second place in the Meadowland Pace behind Legendary Hanover. Before that, he racked up six straights in 2024 including the North America Cup Final where he paced the mile in 1:48.1. After a rookie campaign where he only picked up one win, his sophomore year has certainly been an impressive one to watch. Louis-Phillippe Roy will be in the sulky once again.
