Harness racing driver Bob McClure swiped both Ontario-sired Harvest Series Finals for two-year-old colts and geldings on Thursday (Nov. 7) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Move Your Mass (Muscle Mass) completed a sweep of his own as he dominated the $36,900 final for trotters. McClure guided the gelding to the point on the backstretch, and Move Your Mass turned away Royal Life (Trevor Henry) before soaring clear of the field to a five-and-a-half-length victory in 1:55.4. Longshot Flanagan Sunshine (Phil Hudon) was best of the rest, followed by Royal Life.
MOVE YOUR MASS REPLAY
Move Your Mass has won six of his past eight starts with the two losses coming from breaks. Jeff Williams trains the gelding, who is now six-for-13 lifetime with $60,230, for Mardon Stables of Loretto.
The $37,200 final for pacers came down to a closer finish. Bruno No No No (All Bets Off), away seventh for McClure, made his way forward through the middle half and began to chase down loose leader Shining Moment (James MacDonald) as they straightened for the drive. Bruno No No No erased his opponentās three-length advantage, getting up to win by a head in 1:53.4.
Winchester Phoenix (Tyler Borth) closed for third.
BRUNO NO NO NO REPLAY
Bruno No No No, trained by Gabriella Sasso, has won twice and has earned $30,090 in five appearances. The colt is owned by Jeff Courchesne of Cambridge, Martwest Racing Stable of Mississauga, and Tony Aarts of Putnam.
McClure won a total of four races on the card.
Racing will continue at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:10 p.m. EST.
