Harness racing driver Travis Henry hit the 2,000-win milestone on Wednesday (Oct. 27) at Flamboro Downs.
The Guelph-based reinsman steered Fearless Fury (Fear The Dragon, 2:00) to a debut victory in the early card for win number 1,999 and got home Sports Fan (Sportswriter) in the eighth to reach 2,000.
He held Sports Fan, a three-year-old Blake Macintosh trainee, on second-over cover until making a three-wide move entering the final quarter, and the colt quickly overcame leader Premier Nacho (Jason Ryan) for the victory in 1:57.4.
The mud-caked reinsman received a congratulatory placard in the paddock following the win.
