Hensley-owned horses took both top-level harness racing contests at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Tuesday (Feb. 20) with opposite trips in each race.

The Preferred Pace was straightforward for Major League N (Gotta Go Cullen) and driver Ed Hensley. The mare wired her distaff rivals, resisting the final-quarter pressure from Shoot The Whiskey (Travis Cullen) to score in 1:55.1. The latter was three-quarters-of-a-length short with two lengths between her and show finisher Randomirogeo (Jason Ryan).
MAJOR LEAGUE N REPLAY
Major League N’s win was the 11-year-old’s first of the year in four tries, the previous three coming at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Ashleigh Hensley trains the mare, an Aussie import, and co-owns her with Ed Hensley. Major League N is now 38-for-157 lifetime with $367,288 in earnings.
Andy Over (Andovers Son) made it three London Preferred wins in a row as he circled the field in the event for trotters. Ed Hensley dropped him to last from post seven but pulled him off the pylons as the field passed the stands. The gelding slingshotted around the first-over Treasured Tee (Travis Henry) on the backstretch, wore down pacesetter Delgado (Tyler Borth), and held off the charging Bucktober (Tyler Borth) for the victory in 1:59. Bucktober nabbed the place cheque on the line over Delgado.
ANDY OVER REPLAY
Andy Over, trained by Ashleigh Hensley, has won his past three starts at the London Preferred level, separated by one start at Mohawk Park last week. The seven-year-old has accrued 31 career victories and a bankroll of $239,292 in 160 appearances. Ed and Ashleigh Hensley own the gelding.
Also on the card, Biggie Off (All Bets Off) stayed perfect as a four-year-old after going winless in her rookie year at three. The mare won in wire-to-wire fashion in 2:02.3 for trainer/driver Michael Horner and owners Mark Horner and Doug Wilson. She went 0-for-10 in 2023 but has won all three starts this year.
The Raceway at the Western Fair District will continue racing on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 5:50 p.m. EST.
