Mighty Mary (Hes Watching) produced a career-best harness racing effort to remain undefeated in three starts on the season at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Wednesday (Apr. 10).
The mare went wire-to-wire from post five for Dan Clements, with her seven opponents content to give her things her way. Mighty Mary set fractions of :28.2, :58.3, and 1:27.3 before Dinner And Dancing (Travis Henry) attacked from the pocket. The challenger began to close coming down the stretch, but Mighty Mary kept her at bay by a quarter-length as she sealed the victory in 1:56.4. Rose Ricky (Garrett Rooney) was well back in third.
