House Edge Hanover (Betting Line) tallied his 11th harness racing victory in 16 career starts as he scored on Tuesday (Nov. 19) at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
The gelding, who moved to Ontario from the East Coast in September, took the four-hole in a :28.4 first quarter and came second-over as the field turned for the grandstand. He sat on the helmet through the half in :58.4 until firing around his cover on the road to three-quarters in 1:27.1.
He advanced on leader Bettor On Ice (Travis Henry) into the final turn. Bettor On Ice proved resilient, battling down the stretch, but House Edge Hanover had the final say, getting up to win by a neck in 1:56.1.
Happy Neighs (J. Bradley Harris) finished third.
