Shampoo Girl (Alarm Detector) was picture-perfect in her harness racing debut, winning from post 10 in the opener at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday (Nov. 14).
James MacDonald solved the outer position problem by applying early speed, pushing the filly forward in a :28 first panel. She snatched control on the backstretch and brought the field through :58.4 and 1:29 middle splits, extending her lead as she entered the stretch. Hellion (Jody Jamieson) appeared late with a big charge, but Shampoo Girl held on by a head to win in 1:58. Stonebridge Glee (Scott Young) closed for third.
SHAMPOO GIRL REPLAY
