Ideal Perception (American Ideal) led his Preferred Handicap harness racing rivals all the way for the second straight week in the Wednesday (Dec. 21) contest at Flamboro Downs.
The stallion was quicker than the prior victory in all phases. He completed the opening quarter in :27 while forging to the lead for Austin Sorrie. He hit the half unpressured in :55.3 and only saw Lovemyrockinbird (Travis Henry) in the mirror as he approached three-quarters in 1:23.3. Ideal Perception put him away by mid-stretch and only had to hold of P L Oliver (Colin Kelly) off to score in 1:52.2. The latter came within three-quarters of a length as he closed at the rail. Clever Character (Travis Cullen) was third.
