Rollin Doubles (Roll With Joe) left his Charlottetown base to take on conditioned rivals at Flamboro Downs on Tuesday (Sep. 27) and won his third straight race.
The sophomore gelding, piloted by leading driver Brett MacDonald, surrendered early position and dropped back to fifth where he spent the first quarter of :27.4. He began a first-up march just before the half in :57.4 and out-muscled pacesetter Saulsbrook Boomer (Tyler Borth) to take over at three-quarters in 1:27.
The gelding kicked away as he saw the top of the stretch and cruised to a two-and-a-quarter-length victory in 1:56.1, a new career mark.
Sunshine Love (Scott Coulter) followed the winner to a place finish. Rocknrolls Shadow (Travis Cullen) finished third.

Rollin Doubles made his first nine starts in Charlottetown for trainer Gilles Barrieau, winning five. Richard Moreau has taken in the gelding, who moved to Ontario following his Sep. 17 win. Everette Hanson of Maugerville and Donald Stevenson of Fredericton own the $14,000 Goshen Yearling Sale.
