In High Cotton (Somebeachsomewhere) produced a seven-length win on Thursday (Apr. 20) to defeat her short field of Fillies and Mares Open Handicap harness racing opponents in a lifetime-best mile at Fraser Downs.
The mare sat a gapped third as Miss Itunes (Allan Molloy) blazed through the opening half. Dave Hudon then sent her to the outside on the backstretch, and In High Cotton rolled by the pacesetter. She then cruised home to score in 1:52. Century Mach (Scott Knight) finished second. Miss Itunes held third.
