In High Cotton (Somebeachsomewhere) lowered her lifetime mark despite a dampened track with a one-length harness racing win in the Fillies and Mares Open at Fraser Downs on Thursday (Feb. 2).
She blitzed out a :27 opening quarter for Dave Hudon while opening up four-lengths on the pocket-sitting Moosette (Brandon Campbell) and set a lively tempo of :55.3 and 1:23.2 through the middle two panels. Miss Itunes (Scott Knight) and Moosette took their shots down the lane, but In High Cotton hung on to score in 1:52. Miss Itunes nabbed Moosette on the line for second.
