In The Mood (Sunshine Beach) was in the winning mindset on Thursday (Nov. 23) at Flamboro Downs as she tallied for the first time since September in the harness racing trackās Fillies and Mares Preferred.
From the pylon post, J. Bradley Harris let by Major League N (Ed Hensley), the two-hole starter looking for her third straight. They raced one-two through first-half fractions of :28.3 and :58 before favourite Jks Rollin Baby (Jason Ryan) moved from third onto the scene just past the midway point.
She remained a thorn in the leaderās side to three-quarters in 1:26.3 as In The Mood watched from the pocket. As they straightened for home, In The Mood started her rally up the passing lane but met a resistant leader. The two scrapped down the stretch, and In The Mood edged ahead in the final strides to score by a half-length in 1:56.3.
Major League N was a tough second. Randomirogeo (Travis Henry) finished third.

In The Mood is now 15-for-49 lifetime and has earned $284,447. The Ontario Sires Stakes Gold leg winner had not taken a cheque since her most recent victory on Sep. 15, five starts back. Shawn Steacy trains the four-year-old homebred for Hudson Standardbred Stable.
Though he placed in the feature, Henry grabbed five victories on the 11-race card. He started the day with a hat trick behind Outlaw Imahotvixen (Blue Burner, 2:00), Hapuna Beach (Sunshine Beach, 1:57.2), and Godiva Lovely Lady (Badlands Hanover, 2:02.1). The grand slam was completed with Vicious Aloicious (Always A Virgin, 1:58.2), and Henry made it five with High Rolling A (Roll With Joe, 1:58.1).
Racing will return to Flamboro Downs on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 6:35 p.m. EST.
