Itll Be Fine (Hes Watching) won his third straight Preferred at Fraser Downs on Friday (Dec. 20), heading an exacta sweep for trainer Richard Lancaster as Rum N Raisins finished second.
Dave Hudon pushed Itll Be Fine out from post four, securing the lead with the gelding before Rum N Raisins circled him at the quarter in :27.2. The latter provided :56.3 and 1:24.3 middle panels under no pressure, and John Abbott hit the gas on the final turn. Itll Be Fine swung out at the top of the stretch and overpowered his stablemate, soaring by him to a two-length victory in 1:53. Outlaw C My Shadow (Tyson Jacoby) was a hard-closing third.
