The Raceway at Western Fair District announced today that Jimmy Freight will race in the 2022 Camluck Classic.
Jimmy Freight, a seven-year-old son of Sportswriter, made his return to racing in December 2021 after two years away from the track for stud duty. The former Dayton Pacing Derby, Mohawk Gold Cup, and Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final champion has found his best form in recent months- he has won the Woodbine Mohawk Park top class four consecutive times and has scored in seven of his past nine outings. He currently races and stands stud for owner Adriano Sorella of Milton. The Richard Moreau trainee will be racing for his biggest purse since the 2019 Breeders Crown Open Pace.
The $150,000 Camluck Classic for aged pacers is the London, Ontario track’s feature race. The race, formerly known as the Molson Pace, will go forward for the first time since 2019. Jimmy Freight is the first revealed entrant.
We are happy to announce our first starter for the 2022 $150,000 Camluck Classic!
