Johnny Buckshot (Il Sogno Dream) wired his Preferred Trot rivals in the featured harness racing contest at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Tuesday (Apr. 16) for his fourth win of the year at the trackās top level.
In line to Tyler Borth, he put up panels of :28.1, :57.4, and 1:26.2 with the parked-out El Toro Loco (Travis Henry) just off his right flank from three-eighths into the stretch. El Toro Loco fought on into the stretch as the two separated from the field, but he could not crack Johnny Buckshot, who opened up by two-and-a-half lengths en route to a 1:56.3 victory. El Toro Loco was second, two-and-three-quarter lengths clear of show finisher Andy Over (Ed Hensley).

Johnny Buckshotās win in lifetime-best time upped his career tally to 14 victories in 49 starts and increased his earnings to $95,962. Katie MacNeil trains the five-year-old, now a four-time Preferred winner this year, for owner/breeder Brad Wilson of Camlachie.
Racing resumes at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Wednesday (Apr. 17) at 5:50 p.m. EDT. The race 10 feature will be a Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace.
