Seven-year-old stallion Ideal Perception (American Ideal) tallied his 32nd lifetime harness racing win in a mid-level conditioned dash at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Monday (Sep. 2).
The stallion, a former Excelsior Series champion, ended up in the pocket as Hunter Hill (Phil Hudon) took the lead at the quarter in :27.2. The field went single-file to the half in :55.2, but Ideal Perception popped out on the final turn and slingshotted to the front at three-quarters in 1:23.1. He marched away coming down the lane and was wrapped up coming to the line for the 1:51.1 victory. Legion Seelster (Tyler Borth) held off Capitano Italiano (Sylvain Filion) for second.
