Tara Hills Stud in Ontario’s hottest new harness racing stallion is King Of The North (Walner) 3,1:50.3 ($1,171,385) and he proved it for charity as his stud service brought more than double its listed service fee in the recently concluded Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association on-line stallion breeding auction held on OnGait.com.
With his 2023 stallion book full and closed, getting a breeding this season to King Of The North is near impossible.
So, thanks to David Heffering at Tara Hills Stud for the breeding donation to King Of The North and to everyone that donated breedings, plus the folks at Ongait.com, as they allowed the Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association to have this live auction on their website with 21 stallions offered and all bids going right to the charity.
This first season, King of the North is standing for a fee of $12,000. At the charity online auction, thanks to the generosity of winning bidder Myron Ruznisky, the King Of The North breeding brought a final bid of $25,400. That was the highest bid of the 21 stallions in the auction.
