Kwik Talkin dropped in class after a poor Mohawk Park spell and found harness racing success in the Grand River Raceway Preferred 3 Pace on Monday.
He made the lead at the quarter pole in :27 in a two-move effort ā an initial advance followed by a retake after Pembrook Legacy N (Lorne House) swept by him on the first turn. Driver Travis Henry reined in Kwik Talking in a second quarter that was completed in :56 before accelerating again to deal with outside pressure.
Kwik Talkin brushed aside first-over attacker Whitecookie (Anthony Haughan) with a quick third quarter ā finished in 1:23.4 ā and entered the stretch with Pembrook Legacy N starting his move from the pocket. The latter paced home fastest of the two, but Kwik Talkin reached the finish in time for the 1:52.2 score.
