Kwik Talkin continued his tour of Ontario by extending his Preferred level winning streak to three at a third different harness racing track on Tuesday at a rain-soaked Flamboro Downs.

Winning driver Travis Henry (Nicholas Barnsdale Photo)

The son of Well Said, coming off of back-to-back wins at Georgian Downs and Grand River Raceway, pulled back to the five-hole early as the favoured Pretty Handsome (J. Bradley Harris) battled to the front in a :27.1 opening quarter mile. Travis Henry motioned Kwik Talkin to the outside in front of the stands and gained second-over positioning at the half in :57.

First Class Horse (Scott Coulter) advanced three-wide on the backstretch, boxing in Kwik Talkin as the field approached the final panel. Henry freed his charged from behind slowing cover at three-quarters in 1:25.3, and the stallion swooped around Pretty Handsome en route to victory in 1:54.2.

Pretty Handsome held second. First Class Horse passed tired foes late for show. The win price was $5.70.

KWIK TALKIN REPLAY

Kwik Talkin has now won four of 10 starts this season for trainer Amanda Fine. He made his yearly debut at The Meadowlands before shipping to Woodbine Mohawk Park, where he had mild success in low-level conditioned contests. He then won the Grand River Raceway Preferred 3 on Aug. 16 and the Georgian Downs Preferred 2 on Aug. 31 before his Tuesday win. The horse is 17-for-67 overall. Scott and Lisa Henry acquired the six-year-old before the racing season began.

Henry won three races on the evening.

Flamboro Downs continues action on Friday, Sep. 9. Two Preferred 2s feature on that 10-race card that will begin at 6:35 p.m. EDT.
