Kwik Talkin continued his tour of Ontario by extending his Preferred level winning streak to three at a third different harness racing track on Tuesday at a rain-soaked Flamboro Downs.
The son of Well Said, coming off of back-to-back wins at Georgian Downs and Grand River Raceway, pulled back to the five-hole early as the favoured Pretty Handsome (J. Bradley Harris) battled to the front in a :27.1 opening quarter mile. Travis Henry motioned Kwik Talkin to the outside in front of the stands and gained second-over positioning at the half in :57.
First Class Horse (Scott Coulter) advanced three-wide on the backstretch, boxing in Kwik Talkin as the field approached the final panel. Henry freed his charged from behind slowing cover at three-quarters in 1:25.3, and the stallion swooped around Pretty Handsome en route to victory in 1:54.2.
Pretty Handsome held second. First Class Horse passed tired foes late for show. The win price was $5.70.
