Lass Shot (Archangel) defeated her male harness racing rivals in the Preferred Trot at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Wednesday (Mar. 27) to extend her winning streak to three.
Garrett Rooney oversaw a wire-to-wire trip as the mare cut fractions of :28.4, :58.3, and 1:27.4 on the lead. Little resistance came from her four opponents, and Lass Shot only had to hold off pocket-sitter Hot Fudge Sundae (Alfie Carroll) down the stretch to complete the win in 1:58. Hot Fudge Sundae was a length-and-three-quarters back in second with Andy Over (Ed Hensley) alongside him for third.
