Journeyman gelding Jet Rock (Rock N Roll Heaven) circled the conditioned feature field at Georgian Downs on Tuesday (Jul. 26) to reach a quarter-million dollars in career earnings.
Jason Ryan pulled the six-year-old back to the trailing spot as the top two waged war in a :26.4 opening quarter. Jet Rock was the first to pull down the backstretch after a :56.3 half but became double-covered as the field approached three-quarters in 1:25.2.
Ryan moved Jet Rock three-wide as they straightened for home, and the gelding flew by all five foes ahead of him to score a 22nd career win in 1:52.4. Wildriverbumblebee (Jean Bernard Renaud) finished second over Clever Character (Travis Cullen) in a blanket finish for place.
The win price was $9.90.
