SUMMERSIDE, PE – Harness racing driver Dale Spence pushed the gas pedal late and Legendary Ron (A Rocknroll Dance) responded to power by his opposition in the Wednesday evening feature at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.
Unhurried at the start, Legendary Ron sat last in the $3,000 featured pace as Woodmere Ideal Art (Jason Hughes) laid down the fractions of 27.4, 58.3 and 1:28.3. Spence put Legendary Ron to work in the final quarter as he hustled up from last to stick his nose in front at the wire in 1:57.1. Nicholas Oakes trains and Douglas Matheson of Cornwall owns Legendary Ron who recorded his 30th lifetime win.
