HP Mama B (Royalty For Life) rebounded from a tough go in the Breeders Crown in her last start, taking a lifetime mark against male rivals Monday (Nov. 7) in the $28,000 feature trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Starting from post three for driver Louis-Philippe Roy, HP Mama B was first on the lead off the gate with Renegade Gypsy (Sylvain Filion) getting the two-hole trip to the opening quarter mile in :27.4.
No one made a move against the Ā½ race favorite as HP Mama B continue to lead the field to the half mile in :56.2 and then the three-quarters in 1:23.4.
With a four-length lead at the top of the stretch, HP Mama B was able to hold the field at bay, winning by three-quarters of a length over White Tiger (James MacDonald) in 1:51.4. Truffles Too (Trevor Henry) was third.

It was a lifetime mark for the four-year-old mare and her fifth win this year. HP Mama B is trained by Jean Tourigny and owned by Claude Hamel of AyerāS Cliff, Quebec. She paid $3.00 to win.
