Owners continued to clamor for Littlebearcat (Tigerama), who will move to a fourth new barn in as many starts after a big harness racing victory at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday (Jan. 5).
Starting from post 10 with Louis-Philippe Roy behind her, Littlebearcat sat six through the first half and joined the outside flow third-over heading into the final turn. The mare saw open racetrack as her cover bore in, and she hit top speed in the last eighth of a mile to blow by the pacesetter and open up a four-and-three-quarter-length margin while stopping the clock in 1:54.
LITTLEBEARCAT REPLAY
Robert and Ronald Woodburn claimed the six-year-old from Michel Letarte and Jean Allaire. The mareās recent form has driven the demand; she has won four of her last five. Her career record is 15-for-77 with $84,256 in earnings.
The next card at Woodbine Mohawk Park is set for a 7:00 p.m. EST start on Friday, Jan. 6.
