Get To The Pointe (Muscle Mass) showed a remarkable turn of foot to take his first win of the harness racing season on Wednesday at Grand River Raceway.
The four-year-old gelding, sent off at 21-1, gapped the gate for Wayne Henry and dropped behind all on-stride rivals in sixth. Movin To The Top (Travis Henry) cut a :28 opening panel, and Get To The Pointe uncapped a first-over attack as the leader hit the half in :57.4.
Get To The Pointeās mission was complete as he hit the front at three-quarters in 1:28.2, but the gelding poured it on into the final split and soared to the finish to score by eight-and-a-half lengths in 1:58.4.
Trade Barrier (Alfie Carroll) finished second, a length better than Arch We Lucky (Scott Coulter).
