Major League N (Gotta Go Cullen) cruised on the front-end to take the Fillies and Mares Preferred at Flamboro Downs on Thursday (Dec. 1) in a coast-to-coast harness racing victory.

The nine-year-old mare, in line to Ed Hensley, cut panels of :27 and :56.3, 1:25 to three-quarters while repelling Beach Moment (Brett MacDonald), and a winning time of 1:54. Miss Rockadali (Tyler Borth) finished second. Stonebridge Drama (Scott Coulter) was third.

MAJOR LEAGUE N REPLAY

Major League N has bounced between Woodbine Mohawk Park and Flamboro Downs of late. She’s won three of her last four tries at the B-track, but the Thursday win was her first in a Preferred since moving from New Zealand. Ed and Ashleigh Hensley of Dundas orchestrated the move; the latter trains the mare.

MacDonald, despite a loss in the feature, was in the winner’s circle after half of the night’s 10 races. He guided Sports Duchess to a milestone of six digits in earnings.

Flamboro Downs continues racing on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 6:35 p.m. EST.
