2022 Prospect Series champion Marshall Zhukov (Shadow Play), who went seven-for-eight as a rookie, took his first harness racing victory in eight starts this year at Georgian Downs on Tuesday (Aug. 15).
The colt, driven by Brett MacDonald, did it from the front, cutting :27.1, :56, and 1:24.1 panels and completing his mile in a career-best 1:52.4.Ā Murrays Watching (Travis Henry) was a length-and-three-quarters back in second, followed by Come On Artie (Samuel Fillion).
MARSHALL ZHUKOV REPLAY
Marshall Zhukov, trained by Richard Moreau, hit the board in his previous four starts. The colt is now eight-for-16 lifetime and has earned $45,740. Michel Lagace of Terrebonne now owns the sophomore.
It was a big night for driver Brett MacDonald, who won five of the dayās eight races. The strong outing included a natural grand slam in races two through five.
Georgian Downs will race next on Saturday, Aug. 19.
