CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The fastest Atlantic bred trotter ever on the Eastern Seaboard will return to the track in the Saturday afternoon top harness racing event at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The 12-dash Saturday presentation gets underway at 12:30 P.M. featuring the Open Trot in race 6 of the day. The $2,350 class has Mile Hill Willie the favourite with eight wins in his four-year-old campaign, including the track and regional trotting record of 1:56.3 in August.
Kenny Arsenault is in the seat of the Paul Morrison trainee from post 4 as the morning line choice in the field of five. Morrison co-owns the son of Armbro Barrister with John Breau of Shediac Cape, N.B.
Cheeky Little Minx comes back up to the Open level for this start with the Gilles Barrieau trained and driven trot mare drawing post 3 on Saturday. Glider Man will hold down the rail with David Dowling in the seat for trainer Jennifer Doyle. Other entrants are Sailor Blue (To be driven by Ken Murphy) and Daisy River (Jason Hughes).
Peter MacPhee with the Post Time Picks leans on Mile Hill Willie for the top spot. "What a season Mile Hill Willie is having with eight wins from 13 starts and a record of 1:56.3. He gets a new pilot and we'll see what Kenny does but we think he'll be on or near the lead at the start and finish."
The top pace of the afternoon lines up in race 11 for $2,250 with a tough group of aged pacing mares. Mrs Dragonfire is the top choice from post 3 with Hughes getting the catch driving call from trainer Jonah Moase and owner Neal Moase of Warren Grove. The Dragon Again lass has put together five-straight top-three finishes and will look for the top prize on Saturday. The other top entries are on the outside of the starting gate with Traces Of Purple (Marc Campbell) from post 6 and Collective Wisdom (Gilles Barrieau) with post 7.

Cowboy Logic Takes Aim At Preferred Glory
The apprentice will take on the master in the Sunday afternoon preferred pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
With 13-dashes on tap Sunday afternoon, the action kicks off at 12:30 P.M., and the richest Atlantic bred horse of all-time, The Rev, is the morning line choice from post 4. Gilles Barrieau trains and drives the Jeff Skinner owned pacer as the 10-year-old son of Western Paradise will look to expand on his $618,000 in career earnings in the $2,900 preferred pace.
Cowboy Logic has been exceptional in his short career with 11 wins from 25 starts but will have to earn an additional $598,000 to catch his Sunday rival. Steven Shepherd drives Cowboy Logic for trainer and co-owner Harold Shepherd and Island co-owners Maurice McCabe, Gerard Ellsworth and Angus Birt. Screen Test disposed of the top class last Saturday in Charlottetown but will have to overcome the outside post 5 on Sunday with Corey MacPherson above the wheels.
The Post Time Picks in Sunday's card have Cowboy Logic lined up to upset his top class opponents. "Cowboy Logic has yet to knock off this class but now with a decent draw and short field his rallying style should make him a huge threat. His foes are no slouches but this sophomore could pull it all off."
Also in the preferred field are Adkins Hanover (To be driven by Ambyr Campbell) and Revenant (Adam Merner).
Woodmere Skyroller powers forward in her three-year-old season as the top choice in the fillies and mares Open pace in race 6 of the day for $2,750. David Dowling will handle the champion daughter of Rollwithitharry for trainer Kevin MacLean and owner Reg MacPherson of Stratford. Past Atlantic champion Filly Forty Seven (Marc Campbell) looms a large threat from post 5 while fellow sophomore Temagami Seelster (Kenny Arsenault) has post 3 while looking for win number eight of the year.
