Millenium Seelster (Sunshine Beach) delivered for harness racing owner/trainer Emma Christoforou for the first time in more than a year with a romp at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Tuesday (Nov. 15).
Regular reinsman Scott Wray put the six-year-old on top from the pylons in a :27.3 first quarter, setting the stage for a dominant victory. The gelding widened his cushion at every station: three lengths by the half in :56.3, six lengths by three-quarters in 1:25.2, and he thundered to the line an eight-and-a-quarter-length winner in 1:54.4.
Bolt Power (Braiden Riebeling) was second, two lengths clear of St Lads Cash (Brett MacDonald).
Millenium Seelster ended his losing streak at odds of 8-1.
MILLENIUM SEELSTER REPLAY
Millenium Seelster had not won since Oct. 31, 2021 at Leamington, a span encompassing 22 starts. The victory was not without warning; the gelding had hit the board in four straight outings and hadnāt missed a cheque since February. The Tuesday victory came with a new career mark in his seventh lifetime tally from 67 starts. He has earned $74,437.
The Raceway at the Western Fair District is set to resume action at 4:50 p.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 18.
